Short version: this site sets no cookies, has no accounts, and collects nothing from children.

Only an email address, and only if you type one into the newsletter form. The form asks you to confirm you are 13 or older, or a parent or guardian. We do not ask for a date of birth, a name, an age, or anything else.

We do not set cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking, advertising pixels, or any service that follows you to other websites. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no profiles. Children can read everything on this site without anything at all being collected about them.

We measure how many people visit which pages, using a service that counts visits without identifying visitors and without storing anything on your device.

Our newsletter is delivered by Kit, which stores your address so it can send you the emails you asked for. That is the only third party that receives it. We do not sell, rent, share or trade it, ever.

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, which deletes you. You can also write to hello@kobyashar.com and ask, and we will do it and confirm.

This site is written partly for readers aged 9 to 13. It is designed so that a child can use all of it — read the sample chapter, read every article — without providing any information or being tracked in any way. The newsletter is intended for adults.
